A Sanctuary Reborn
The new Light of Findhorn Sanctuary opened its doors on Sunday 20th April 2025

This Easter, our community came together in deep reverence and celebration to witness a powerful moment of renewal and reconnection – the official opening of the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary.
Rising from the ashes of our much-loved original Park Sanctuary, which was lost to fire in 2021, the new Light of Findhorn Sanctuary stands in the same sacred space within the Original Garden of Park Ecovillage Findhorn. Over two days (20–21 April), we honoured the legacy, held ceremonies, and meditated as one – grounding the new sanctuary in love, intention, and light.
Magic and Synchronicity
In true Findhorn fashion, synchronicities danced around us. On 20 April, Kathy Tyler noticed that the image on Eileen Caddy’s Daily Guidance calendar was none other than the original Park Sanctuary. The message from Eileen that day felt perfectly timed:
“Go into the silence and feel peace and serenity enfold you. In that state of perfect peace, ask and receive My blessing. Then go forward in absolute faith and do what has to be done.”

A Legacy Reaffirmed
As part of the Easter Sunday 2025 ceremony, Kathy Tyler read aloud Eileen Caddy’s Easter Sunday 1968 guidance on the Sanctuary’s spiritual role:
“The Sanctuary is now, and always shall be, a tremendous power house, where power will be generated out to the four corners of the earth. It will become known all over the world and many will be drawn to it, and find great strength and help from the power and radiations which emanate from it. They will find peace and love, light and wisdom, as well as great joy and happiness, from simply being in there. Many problems will be solved as they sit in complete silence, find Me in the midst of them, and come to know Me and Love Me and do My will. My full blessings are upon My Sanctuary, My Ark of the Covenant. Let it be treated as a sacred and consecrated place, where all may find their true selves.”

Many members of the local community gathered in person, contributing their energy and presence to this sacred milestone and 240 over the three days attended the meditation ceremonies led by Kathy Tyler, Project Coordinator of the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary for Park Ecovillage Trust, a legacy organisation of the Findhorn Foundation Trust, which took on the Sanctuary project on behalf of the community. Many more community members have meditated in the Sanctuary in the first week after its opening.
The Golden Thread
At the heart of each ceremony, Kathy Tyler led a meditation on the Golden Thread – that timeless soul connection linking us through lifetimes, through the Findhorn legacy, and into the present moment. The meditation invoked the presence of the Landscape Angel and the Angel of Findhorn, anchoring the Sanctuary in sacred relationship with all of life. The meditation ended with a Sanctuary Blessing.
